ABOUT GUIDEDS
Trusted guidance for everyday life.
We take the problems that keep people up at night and turn them into something you can actually follow.
It started with a phone screen full of contradictory advice.
I became a father in 2015, and I've been hands-on through every stage of it since. Not just the easy bits, all of it: the baby stage, the toddler stage, right through to now. Somewhere in that first exhausted year I remember trying to find one straight answer to a normal question, and getting fifteen different ones instead. Forums, apps, books, groups, all confidently disagreeing with each other. Nobody was wrong exactly. It was just scattered.
And it kept happening, stage after stage. The screen time arguments. Getting them into bed at a reasonable hour. The nights they wouldn't stay in their own bed. Every stage had its own version of the same fight.

Years later, for my 30th birthday, I was in Bali, Indonesia. These days I still split my time between the two, London and Bali, back and forth more than most people would guess. That same birthday, my mum got me my first dog. Ice, a pedigree golden retriever puppy, came home not long after, and the exact same pattern turned up again in a completely different part of my life.
The barking. The jumping, worst of the three to actually fix. And the separation anxiety, which got to me the most. Ice worked out what a suitcase meant almost straight away. Days before I'd even left, he'd go quiet, properly subdued, not himself at all. On one trip, whoever was looking after him sent me a photo taken right after my cab pulled off the drive. Ice by the gate, looking completely lost.
I paid for a trainer. The advice was good. It was also, I slowly realised, the same handful of principles repeated back to me across weeks of sessions I was paying for by the hour. Nothing I was being told was secret. It was just organised, and I was paying for the organising.
So I started reading properly. Not forums, not listicles. The material the trainers themselves were working from. Published behavioural research, veterinary guidance, the recognised training protocols professionals are taught. It was all there. It was just buried in places nobody has time to dig through when there is a puppy weeing on the carpet at six in the morning.
I put what I found into a document. A sequence, not a pile of tips. It worked, and it worked faster than the sessions had.

That was the moment it clicked. This wasn't a dog problem or a parenting problem. It was the same problem showing up again and again, in two parts of my life that had nothing else in common. Good information exists. It is almost never handed to you in the order you actually need it.
Guideds exists to close that gap. We do the reading, the sorting and the sequencing, and we hand you the part that matters.
One problem. One guide. One evening.
A Guideds guide is not a course and it is not a book you will never finish. It takes a single specific problem and gives you the shortest honest route through it.
You buy it, you get it instantly, and you use it that night.
Every guide is built to be printed, stuck on a fridge, and carried around the house. That is not an accident. It is the format the problem actually calls for.
The bit most people skip.
Anyone can write a list of tips. What makes a guide worth paying for is what happens before the writing starts.
We work from established sources.
Every guide begins with published, credible material. Peer-reviewed behavioural and developmental research, veterinary and clinical guidance, recognised training methodologies, and the professional standards that sit behind paid consultations. We go to primary sources rather than summaries of summaries.
We look for where the evidence agrees.
Most guidance fails not because it is wrong but because it is fragmented. Ten credible sources will hand you ten pieces of an answer, often in different orders and different languages. Our work is finding the consensus, being honest about where genuine disagreement exists, and turning the agreement into a sequence a real person can follow.
We write for the worst moment, not the best one.
Every guide is checked against a simple test. Could someone exhausted, stressed and short on time follow this on the first read, without going back? If a step needs re-reading, it gets rewritten.
Every guide is reviewed before it goes out.
Line by line, page by page, against a fixed production standard. Nothing ships that has not been read from the first page to the last.
Standards we hold ourselves to.
We will not pad.
If a problem is solvable in eleven pages, you get eleven pages. Length is not value.
We will not pretend to be something we are not.
Guideds is a publisher of practical guides. We are not a veterinary practice, a clinic, or a substitute for one. Where a problem needs a vet, a GP or a health visitor, our guides say so plainly and tell you what to look for.
We will not sell you the same thing twice.
Each guide points to the next logical step in your journey, based on what you have just solved and what usually comes next. Never a random upsell.
We will not cut corners on the product itself.
Every Guideds PDF is produced to a fixed technical standard. Properly typeset, print-ready, fully embedded typography, designed to be readable on a phone at 2am and on paper the next morning.
Leon Fearon, Founder
Leon founded Guideds Digital Ltd after running into the exact same problem twice, in two completely different parts of his life. First as a new father in 2015, then years later as a first-time dog owner to Ice, his golden retriever. He got Ice around his 30th birthday, which he spent in Bali, Indonesia.
Guideds is the business he built out of the realisation that the hard part was never finding the information. It was finding someone willing to put it in order. These days, that's a ten-year-old and a very good golden retriever keeping him on his toes.
